Mag Treanor RN CCH EFT-ADV HBCE TFH Reiki Master Beekeeper Herbalist – Your Host at Putnam Healing Arts

Mag Treanor – Mag started in Ireland learning about herbs and folk cures from her mother and grandmother. She has been in nursing for 40 years. As an RN, she has worked in a variety of fields including Medical Surgical Nursing in NYC hospitals, Maternity, Geriatrics and Psychiatric Nursing.  As a Psych nurse for 12 years, she specialized in anxiety and mood disorders and care for adolescents and adults with mental health and addiction issues.

From mending injured turtles who strayed into her yard, to assisting others discover the wonders of the body to heal through nature’s pharmacopoeia, Mag has integrated mainstream and holistic techniques in innovative ways.  She believes in empowering people to make wise and confident choices for their own health and mental wellness. She reminds us that “Healing is not necessarily curing. Curing implies that someone outside of yourself has some power over you and your health. Healing is our own personal journey from within.”

Mag inspires clients, family, patients and peers alike to ‘think outside the institutional box’ about the potential we all have to heal from within and the many ways that ‘healing’ can happen. This has been evidenced by her own experience of coping following a violent physical assault with multiple injuries. Having suffered for years with constant pain and disability, Mag taught herself how to cope and bring healing to her experience using the very energy techniques that she now teaches to others.
